Im taking out my injectors tomorrow to have them cleaned and tested.. anyway, I just wanted to know if there is anything else i should be doing at the same time because im going to have half the intake taken off already.. maybe anything i should be inspecting or possibly something i should clean test etc.. or even anything i should watch out for while doing it... ?

get new gaskets for sure...you could port your manifolds while you have em off it ya want......you'll have to remove lower manifold though, n thats a $20 gasket...and be careful with oil injector lines..those are not very nice...break very easy.

replace all the vacc. lines you can too..it will save you hassle in the future...there damn old.

I would do the Oil line while you're at it, but they're not cheap. What about the TB mod and completely clean out all oil and gunk that might be in your intake manifold. Zip tie all vacuum lines and use Silicone vacuum line. If you got a S5 then don't worry about the PD, it's the S4 that are know for leaking real bad. That small piece can cause your car to go up in flames.

New grommets and o-rings and even pintles should be provided by the shop that does the cleaning, assuming you use rc engineering (west coast) or marren motorsports (east coast)

If you are environment-conscious, you could check for proper operation of the EGR valve, at least, check if it holds vacuum.

I'd change all the fuel hoses under there myself. I took my UIM off to change the pulsation damper and it turned out to be leaking from a fuel hose. Basically change all hoses under there for safety's sake along with the PD.

ok got a few questions here, How much is a pulsation damper? and if you ghot the time, what the hell is it..?

Aswell, Im thinking I might just take the whole system out and clean the manifold etc.. is there any major problems i might run into with this.. keep in mind i have never done it before..

and if that is the case, porting it is probably a good idea.. im sure i have seen write ups on porting, when can i find it again...

Look here:

And try searching for stuff on porting your manifolds. Let us know if you turn up nothing.

Make sure you use high pressure fuel injection hose. The stuff is several dollars per foot but is needed to do the job right. Also, use real hose clamps on the hose. Not the mazda sqeeze clamps.
