Big Turbo Quest.

Whats up everyone. I am working on my 88 Turbo II. I am buying a Bridge ported motor from pineapple racing right now. I am also getting a haltec self management system and straight pipes exhaust. Dont know what seals i am going to go with yet but i was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what the biggest turbo would be best for my car. I am rebuilding the tranny right now with new parts and am also replacing my rear end. I was also wondering if anyone can help me out on finding an ECU for a 91 RX7 turbo and also the tail lights. Thanks everyoen for the help and info.

why do you need an ecu if you are getting a haltech??

why are you getting a bridge ported turbo motor?

You guys dont think that i should worry about the oil metering system? I also had another question about the front mount intercooler. I was wondering if you guys can show me some conversions and let me also see what you guys did to replace the OEM intercooler.

the only reason i say just block it off and run premix is because that S5 ECU is a little hard to come by and can cost some. seems kinda a waste of an ECU for just that, especially if yer getting a haltec

YES! Bridgeport Turbo! Way to go!!!

Be prepared to say hello to 600+ rwhp!
Bridgeports rule! Haltech's rule! Pineapple Racing rules! Striaght pipes rule!
BRAP-BRAP--BRAP-BRAP--BRAP-BRAP!! You're getting me all pumped up with this post!

For large turbos, there are many options to choose from. Some of the more popular ones are the T78, T04R, T51 Kai/Spl, GT35/40, GT42, TV45, T72, T76, and a few others. Check out the single turbo forum for posts about these or other large turbos.

Depending on which large turbo you use, what it's specs are, and what your engine specs are, your power can vary quite a bit. Some numbers to throw out there are 620 rwhp @ 25psi, 650 rwhp @ 26psi, 580 rwhp @ 24psi, 710 rwhp @ 29.5 psi

GOOD LUCK!

yeah, if you are going all-out on everything else, don't bother sticking with the stock OMP. Why inject regular motor oil that leaves carbon when it burns? Use premix 2 stroke oil in the fuel. It burns clean, and you know it's there. Their is no indication if the OMP fails.

Hey, whats up everyone. I just want to say thanks for all the info. If u guys have any more info then just let me know what you guys got. I know that every reply will be able to help me out with my build up. If you guys want to know, I am in the process of talking to the people at pineapple right now. I talked to them before a while ago but did not call them back.I wanted to know what i am going to be getting so that i can set up a budget. I am going to ask them to send me a bridge ported block with rotors and i am thinking about the ceremic apex seals but not sure yet. I will be posting pics up in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for everything and the more replies the better.

i 've got the same problem with my s5(on fb) and haltech.just throwing out my ,little bit, insane idea.
my thought was to use a seperate oil-tank filled with 2-stroke oil and fitted inside the engine bay.it should be modified to accept a s4 mechanical OMP.i think i have solved the first problem (connection to throttle) with using a lever like the one on bicycles brakes.i can't imagine how i should make it's gear to rotate.

I wouldn't bother with those OMP's....They never work right anyway. If your getting a stand alone ecu block it off. I did and have never second guessed it since....Run 1 once/gallon and your good. You can sell the OMP to someone who really needs it.... I have 2 sitting here if anyone needs one. Both 89-91 TII (N370) 75.00 each

How sad!

I don't know, you sound like you have alot of money to throw around and no idea what your doing, because of the questions you ask. You don't know what turbo to run on your bridge, how much pressure, what intercooler, what to do about omp, what apex seals, no idea about the driveline requirements, just a guess!
