they have green, purple, blue and i think smoke

its Duplicolor Metalcast paint
they tell u to use THEIR ground coat for painting on painted stuff, but i used chrome paint instead, chrome paint looks smoother and has less metal flakes in it so it looks clean in my opinion...

It's an older style intercooler where both sides of the piping go through the passenger side of the engine bay, so that you don't have to relocate your battery.

yes, its an old greddy intercooler,
want to change that eventually....

and no i did not paint the grooves of the pulleys

u know... my old ones died, so i painted my new ones....these damn pulleys are hard to find... i go to local part stores kragen, checkers... autozone, and they don't have these pulleys....

luckily i found a place with one....and then i wanted to paint them like other people on this forum =D

Have I ever mentioned how much I love MetalCast?

Looks good. FWIW, I find that their ground coat is great when you want a candy finish. The flakes are HUGE, but when buried in multiple coats of MetalCast, the effect in the sun is amazing...

Yeah Metal Cast kicks ***.

I sprayed my hood prop, AFM, BAC,pulleys, wastegate solenoid/actuator,and Oil tube.

Just sand and clean it up. Then apply the metal cast grey/silver base. Then spray your fav color.

Although watch out it does tend to flake a bit and stick for a while.

Also If you do the PS pump make sure you put it on the right way. I put it on backwards and offset the pulley. An hour later I new it because of the horrible noise from the PS. DOH!

here are some I found. Can't find up to date ones with the AFM and accessory rack done.

Yes the paint has withstood the hotside as well!

Good enough for parts in the engine bay but I woudl not recommend large otems which may get lots of contact/rubbing/etc

you can get it at Checker/Napa autostore places usually.

Yea you'll find it in kragen/autozone etc. I painted this housing and rotor over the weekend as a matter of fact.

Ah yes, you are just a tad north of me- I work to the south (Clearwater) and work graves, so it is rare to spot me in the daytime. Good to see some local rotary folks!

It's easy to mask off the grooves. Or you can just paint it and put them on the car.

The natural friction WILL wear the paint off. Quickly I might add.

i just put an old belt in the grooves to prevent paint from entering where the belt sits
