Check your PD. Nothing should look melted unless theres a fire under there.

Jump the fuel pump near the passenger's shock tower. Youve got to look under the wiring harness to find the connector.

Now turn the key until ON. You should hear fuel flowing under the hood. Let it run for a long time. You should not smell any fuel under the hood. Well, maybe you will if your injectors are leaking.

How do you know which vacume hoses you can remove? I am in the process of doing the same stuff. I removed my turbo today, and my afm and airpump yesterday......what the hell does the egr valve look like anyways and where is it located so I can rip that booger out of there to. Thanks

egr

the egr vavle is located on the back of the lower intake manifold. it has one vacume line coming out . it faces the fire wall.. take that baby out . I foun dout that you can basically remove- acv . split air pipe . egr. bac valve ( if no a/c) all of the vacume silinoids . and the whole rats nest minus the two fuel line's and the breather pipe for the filler neck that goes to the charcoal canister( remove those from the bundle)

it makes the hole system clean up and you have lots of room.

just in the prcess of pulling al of this i found lots of problems grounding issues__

Thanks for the info on the egr and vac lines, I got my turbo out but havent started taking it apart to port yet. Looks a little intimidating. Actually, I was gonna take the turbo off of the exhaust manifold but noticed that one side of it has washers and the other has this weird metal sleave that is kinda bent up along side the nuts. Looks like I may need to bend it up to get those two nuts off...stop thinking dirty I will get that egr out of there today!!
