Smile Proud new owner of an 1986 RX-7 :)

Just picked this up today for $600. Paint is white, car has 178xxx on the engine, and runs beautifully. All the idiot lights, shift light, and buzzers work. A/C and heater works. The paint is ****, but it is mechanically sound. Idles at 700rpm steady. The only things wrong with it, is the suspension (Anyone have any new stock suspension they'll give me real cheap?), and the shifter bushings need to be replaced. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy.

Just thought I'd tell you guys

Wow, sounds like a great find. Do all of the standard new car stuff (change all fluids, plugs, etc.) and read all of the FAQ sticky if you haven't already.
Also, no one is going to have a new stock suspention because everyone gets some sort of aftermarket suspention since its cheaper and better than stock. If you want stock feel, you can get kyb gr2's and some new springs of some sort. You could also get the RB package if you have the money, but it will be stiffer than stock.

You can usually get aftermarket stuff cheaper than new stock stuff. Treat it right and she'll be around for a while. You can check out the Factory service manuals at teamfc3s.org. These links have helped me a million times, you might already know them but either way they are some of the best around....

I appreciate the help, guys. I gave up on my 82, front cover is leaking oil on the baffle. lol. It might take a bit to get pics, seeing as I don't have a camera I'm just amazed the buzzers/lights still work, much less the engine. I look forward to hopping on this side of the club, thanks for having me!
