New to the forum (wut up?)

Hey, my names Andrew, I just got this '89 n/a (sorry I don't know the trim levels yet) for 300 bux. The catch is it's a project and needs a bit of work for the motor to start running but the car itself isn't too bad.

These pics are a little old, I'll take some new ones tomorrow. It's my first rotory, my first coupe, and my first RWD car (I've beena Honda guy for awhile ) so it's gonna take some time to get to know what I'm doing.

Lemme know what you think.

Lol, I know, they're crap. I wanna put them on my brothers Sephia if they fit, I can't stand them. Cosmetics gotta come second on this build though. I won't be looking to do many body mods, just some touch-ups on parking ticket peel-off and some chipped paint.

Lol, I didn't know that. I'll have to look into it. Here's a few more, you can see the paint chips.

Those aren't T2 skirts, the turbo skirts are a 2 piece deal. And its not an 89. Maybe part of the Finish Line Package??? if thats what its called. But I don't think they'd put that on an SE. Not sure

Its an SE because of the 4 lug wheels. Its not an 89 because of the black side moldings. Just keep in mind that the SE is the lightest model RX-7 so you've got a good starting platform if you choose to mod it. Nice looking car, if you do a lot of searching on the forum you'll find answers to any questions you could ever have. Welcome.

Nope its a 88 GX or SE.

Nope. what is the 10th digit in the VIN. That will tell you exactly what model year it was sold as, regardless of what your registration says it is.

G = 1986
H = 1987
J = 1988
K = 1989
L = 1990
M = 1991

Oh of course lol. Looks like my car is just a Hienz 57 toss-up lol. S4 S5 '88 '89. Atleast I have front and rear disks, I'm happy about that. My Integras were the only other cars that had them and I miss them

Ok.

Any advice on where to go with this is welcome as well. I don't really plan on doing a T2 conversion or anything, but mainly making the 13b reliable as it can be, and then working on some cosmetics and then more on handling. I think that with time this could be a really nice Fc. I have some expert help over here too from a guy I met on my local forum. This might come together really well.
