Props to RarestRx.

For having the cleanest FC engine bay EVAR! Man you could eat off that thing! How do you keep it so clean or how did you get it that clean? I'm sure theirs pics of his engine bay posted on here but they dont do it justice you have to see it in person.

I also wanted to thank all the Fc owners for bringing their rides out to SS6 so we could drool all over them. Had some really nice ones this year!

Yo,

Thanks man!! It's funny, everyone serious trips on my engine bay when in fact I really only spent maybe an hour cleaning/steelwool/waxing/303'ing it.

When I got the car it only had 38K on it and the engine bay was just really dusty...took some soap and water and bingo! Throw some wax on the red parts and make 'em shiny.

Oh, and I work at a dealership and have a steam cleaner...that could help as well. I think Jon (Jsotelo) has a cleaner engine bay than mine, but his engine bay paint doesn't shine up like mine.

Here are two quick photos before I head off to work:

You can see my newly powdercoated Racing Beat stressbar and Upper/Middle intake manifold. Huge props to Dana (Rotary Racer) for basically single handidly getting the GTUs ready for Sevenstock.

Here is the stressbar with the sun hitting it, the UIM does the same thing:

Mistah Sparkalo!!!

Heh.

Anyways, I gotta head to work...I'll post SS6 pics tonight..

Thanks again to all the folks I met!

ya

Yea, and I was parked next to both of them and my **** looked DIRTY. Before opening the hoods, I thought my engine bay was super clean. I was embarassed when I saw Kevin and Jon's. Oh well, now I know the tricks for the "shiny engine bay" trade. Black is a bitch of a color to keep clean.

Oh, about $190. *grin* I got the RB upper bar and UIM, MIM done at Maas Brothers in Livermore, CA.

They are the same guys that did my rims. They're the best!

Here's a good shot that Bingoboy took:

You can see a little of the sparkalo on the UIM!

Yo,

Iliketoeatricers: I doubt it will have any real effects on temps...it ran fine down to SS6.

J-Rat: I was /wondering/ what that was...I thought I was leaking coolant...but then I smelled Asparagus pee...bleargh!!

That's crazy you just got back!! Did you go to the Racing Beat open house? We went on a Touge run...

When I get some time I'll try and take some better pics...

Please!! You are always all secretive of your project!! I ain't seen no pics!

If it ain't flossed at SevenStock, it's like it's never happened!!

*snicker*

I'm going to polish the 13B Injection and Mazda on the top of the UIM, you can't see the cool things the powdercoat does because it's always in the hood's shadow.

Haha, its not that Im secretive, I just change my plans quite frequently, so Id rather not say anything until its done. And I will try my best to be at Sevenstock next year, 3000 miles is a long way to drive....
