yup, i finaly got to work on my n/a.
its been a couple of years but....hey a new marriage, a new career, and a new house kind of set you back.
but i started to get my garage in order after the move and damn it hit me like a virus.
the car is a 1986 gxl. i have onwed the car for about 4 years. i origanly bought it for $250....( blown engine)
i sourced some parts and a 13b. i then had the engine rebiult and had a street port done.
at the time i was very broke and was not able to do much after that other then just driving the car.
then one day the thermostat fails........engine over heats, and had an internal failiure.
i took out the engine on friday and noticed coolant in the rear rotor.
i also noticed that my secondary actuaters werent even connected..which would explain the slowness.
the engine only has 30xxx kilometers on it. (just under 20xxx miles)
so this week i will be starting my own rebiuld and will try to improve some things as well.
the aim for the car is to be a daily driver, thats cooler then other peoples daily drivers.
i will be doing some minor weight reduction, i am removing ALL of the under padding and sound deadening stuff including the tar crap that is stuck to the floor. and a nice paint job is in order.......
i just cant let this car go....................................NEVER!!
i will have pics soon with the on going progress.......
thanks for reading

congrats on getting the project underway!
I am going to try and track you down tomorrow, I lost your phone number and need to talk to you. Maybe I can have a look at the '7.

I feel the exact same way you do. I've had my car over 5 months and haven't driven it once. Did I sell it when I got frustrated or was basically broke? No
. I'm damn glad I didn't.

thanks for all the kind words guys, i really appreciate the support.
all my friends and family are trying to convince me to cut it up and scrap it......i damn near slapped everybody when i got that reponse!
so yeah its going to be a long process but it will be done.
i think my first plan of attack is to clean up the engine bay and paint it the colour that i like (audi tt nimbus grey)
then rebiuld the kickass engine, place her in her house of *** kicking.
thats quite a bit of work already seeing as how my rex is alittle rusty.
once that is acomplished i will begin all of the nasty grueling body work.
i hav a set of racing beat springs and tokico 5 way shocks sitting on the floor waiting to go to work.
pics will be up hopefully tomarow.
