well, the engine is in and running, i started at 2pm and finished at 730pm.. it seems to run pretty good.. the only thing that went wrong is it need a new waterpump gasket..

dddddamn man! thats pretty nice, i started to pull a 4.3L V6 motor out of a 19ft boat very hard! to do at home with just a engine hoist started at 10 and finished at 4-5pm. nice job on your engine, hope it runs well and long

How much oil did you put in the car?? Its smoking alot.... what is the compression ??? was that first time that you started it ?

 

yes that was the inital start of the re rebuild, the smoke is from the vasoline and lube in the engine.. havent checked compression yet.. itz only been ran a total of 30 mins

 

Thats good, so it shoulda stopped smoking already. You must've put a hell of alot of lube... Anyways good work, and enjoy your car..

i have another vid of a hot start

but i dont feel like geting it hosted, but on hot start turn the key for 5 seconds and it kinda pops and i give it some gas and it fires rite up..it does not smoke anymore... and yes i had lots and lots of lube in there heheheh
