Progressive Springs???
I was looking at getting a set of progressive springs. mostly because I DD my rx7, and it's my only car. With that said, I am not looking for a rock hard suspension.
I plan on picking up a set of KYB AGX's and looking at eibach's progressive springs. Are there any other sets to look at? I heard they are a bit unpredictable when driving on the track, but how bad is it? and would the adjustable shocks compensate for that at all?
thanks.

I like my eibach progressive springs. I use them with Tokico Blue's. Impact harshness is nearly gone, ride is still firmer than OEM. I do not track the car. Best single mod I have done to the car. 90 Vert.
In the twisties, I feel I could use more damping, so I have a set of AGXs to install.

Mazdatrix says front stock rate is 95#/inch. Eibach progressive is 70#/inch on the initial, 185#/inch after that. The rear follows this same pattern. http://mazdatrix.com/h4586-92.htm
This initial softness reduces the impact harshness when hitting bumps, road repairs, tar strips etc. When spirited driving on roads with lots of curves, elevation changes, camber changes bumps and dips etc, the initial softness could use some more damping to compensate. In all other driving, the experience is far more sophisticated and subtle.
I daily drove and autocrossed for years on my Eibach progressive/Tokico Blue combo and loved it. On the street, the ride was well-controlled yet comfortable regardless of load. (Took the FC camping, snowboarding, long road trips etc) On race day, it was a little soft on initial turn-in. Once it took a set, it was very usable. The only handling problem I ever had with it was a tendency toward MASSIVE over-steer under late braking after installing a set of sticky 255/40-17s, which the next owner fixed by removing the rear sway bar. My next set-up will use the same springs, Tokico Illuminas, TII (or maybe Racing Beat) front bar and a base model rear bar.

Well that settles it. I'll be going for the Eibach's.
I just placed my order for the KYB AGX's, so next week i'll order the springs. I will update this thread with pictures of the installation and before and after thoughts for anyone looking at this type of set-up.
also, in an attempt to get a more "flush" tire fit, would these be a good purchase? http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1986-1...ion/14000.html

So I had another member recommend a set of Tanabe GF210's, their description is a little misleading, and doesnt say its progressive.
How do these springs compare? I really need a set that is DD comfy.
