and finally

Once the ECU and boost controler are fitted, its getting the exhaust fitted, im getting two stainless mufflers made as we speak. then its off to the dyno to up the boost to a safe 14 PSI ( in cabin switchable to a lower setting too)

I will post more ECU instal pics as i make further progress, including the cleaning/ detialing of the engine bay parts( just nice and clean, not too bling bling)

Also hoping to get my 3200 RPM histall convertor soon then rebuild the auto trans with some extra clutch packs as to make it something like a sports car!! i wish i could still drive a manual!!

Comrad, brother, friend. Please don't go ADDING weight to an already heavy car. Look to remove as much weight as possible. If you lose a stoplight drag to a VW you will shame us all!

I don't think he will be losing to a VW with 14psi. **** VW's are heavy as hell anyways.

Instead of rebuilding the auto, why not swap to a manual?

they were made fron MDF they are about 2" thick, you sit them within the map pocketthen make a 1/2 circle section about 1/8" thick to make up for the thickness of the plastic of the map pocket.. then i cut out the "lipped" section at thew top edge of the map pocket with a dremel.. after trimming it you screw on the pod to the trim from the back and the speakers plastic grill trim through the mapocket into the MDF... its also good to screw it to the door itself too.

as i already pointed out i would love too, but my wrist wont stand up to changing gears, as it is i have to wear a brace when driving this!

i'll have more pics later today

I actually DID read his posts. I just missed that line where he stated that he couldn't have a manual since it was in with the pics. My fault. Nice looking car

MDF is a dense wood material right? How did you get it rounded in the shape of the speaker without fiberglass? Thats amazing.

MDF = Medium Density Fiberboard or craft wood as it is some times called. i had a freind cut out the rings with a jig saw and then i just sanded them a bit to finish them off.. using the felt trim hides alot of stuff too... though it wouldnt of been much more work to do them in vinyl..

i havent really added any at all, by the time you consider i no longer have the stock stereo gear (4 speakers amps ect..), the spare wheel and the air pump.. oh an my odessy battery is lighter than the one that was in it too

and as one of the other guys said, i think once ive got these mods done i wont have to worry about to many VW anyway
