Problems removing logicon
This is what I usually do...
Break all the little plastic pieces on top of the dash.
Remove the metal panel on top of the dash.
(I forget if you need to remove that blasted 10mm bolt in the middle?)
You'll see the plug right in the center - it's sitting there vertically.
The plug is usually white / transluscent or yellow.
Remove the plug - this is the other end that attaches to the logicon itself.
Snake the plug back through the center console, and the logicon should be free.

You don't really need to take out the gauge cluster at all, you can reach the clip from the bottom where all the pedals are. We successfully removed two logicons that way today.
I remove the gauges and go through that way.
4 screws on the steering cover, 5 screws on the gauge surround, 4 screws on the gauges, reach in the hole, unplug. remove, re-assemble. Less broken plastic that way.
