Problems removing dashboard

I'm trying to remove the dash because it looks like I have to to get the front carpet out intact. I've taken all the screws out that are listed in the FSM and haynes manual, and it still isn't wanting to come out. It appears to be stuck on something behind the center console. Any idea what it could be? Or even better, is there a way to remove the front carpet without removing the dash?

I got it off. I had missed two bolts. Damn that thing is a bitch to remove. I don't reccommend doing it by your self.

I did it by myself. The bolts were the easy part. The hard part was lifting it up and out without breaking anything, and its kind of heavy and awkward trying to get it out of there from any angle be yourself. Im having help to put it back in.

As long as you take the seats out, it's an easy dash to remove.

If you have someone else to help you, and you aren't already beat to death from stripping down a car and boxing parts for the last week, then its not that bad. You remove a few things on the dash like the center console, which is easy, then remove the steering wheel, which is easy once you loan the puller, then remove the screws which takes 5 minutes or so. All in all that should take about 30 minutes or so for the first time you do it, 10 or less if you've done it before. After that you just slowly pull it out, making sure you don't break anything. There's a number of wire plugs behind the dash, so take it slow and don't yank if something's caught. With help it should be able to remove in an hour or so. Just tell a couple friends you'll buy them a 6-pack if they help you.
