Ok, so if you don't use teflon tape, how do you seal the threads of sender? I just installed a sender, tightened it into the adapter while mounted in a vice, it still weeps.

And by the way, when my car drips coolant, it is $50/gallon that is hitting the ground!

Does anyone know if old fashioned pipe dope will insulate the sender from the ground?

I would use the proper teflon to seal the threads and then add a ground to the body of the sender like shown in post #58 of this thread. This will stop the leak and it will provide the sender with a good ground. Simple as that.
