alright so i was cruisin around not doin much.. pulled up at a light.. it wouldn't go in gear, so i forced it.. and i could shift.. basicly without the clutch.. fine there i know i gotta replace the clutch thats a given... before that clutch issue.. the low coolant light and buzzer would come on.. i would add some n go.. ... then i stoped and tried to top it up and it was like foamy then finaly when i get home i open the hood and some sort of line blew.. it was pissin out antifreeze.. and suck.. and it was high preasure.. so i went and got this bigass mat and undid the rad cap, damn thing blew off with so much preasure i think it damaged my hood

my questions are... what would cause all that preasure
what would cause a line to go like that,

now i hope i didn't blow my engine because when i looked at the temp guage and it was hot, not redline hot.. but hot

 

coolant lines go bad.....it part of life.....it was probubly a heater hose

did you let the car cool off before taking the radiator cap off???? of coarse the radiator cap is going to blow off if you take it off while its overheating.... the reason you probubly overheated was because of the line busting... loss of pressure in the system will cause engine temps to rise....

i doubt your motor was harmed in any way! just replace the line, fill the radiator, bleed the system of all air bubbles, and im sure your car will be tip top again

 

thats what i wanted to her, i know rotary's do not accpet overheating.. i looked at the temp guage and it was about half n inch from the red line..

 

The clutch is a pretty easy problem to fix and diagnose. If the clutch pedal refuses to leave the floor and you can't shift gears (while the car is running), it's likely due to a bad hydraulic clutch line. It's a very common problem on these 15 year old cars. You could find a used one at a junk-yard for a few bucks as a temporary replacement until you buy the SS clutch line from Mazdatrix.com ($18!)

It's a very simple part to replace. It's near the firewall on the driver's side of the engine bay. There's a hard-line going from your 'clutch fluid resevoir' located in the firewall/driver's side CORNER of your engine bay. If you trace this hard-line' along the firewall, it eventually become a soft hydraulic line. Follow this to where it 'bolts' into the transmission bell-housing. Likely you'll see a leak in the soft line right above the fitting that bolts into the tranny. You need to replace this line (very easy, requires a couple wrenches), BLEED the system (very easy, but takes two people) and re-fill the clutch fluid (use brake fluid). Problem solved! If you're not sure if the line is leaking, have a friend pump on the pedal while you watch...

I still think it's the pilot bearing.

Please don't remove the rad cap while the engine is still hot!
Is yours missing the warning sticker on top???
People have gotten seriously hurt from doing that!

When the cooling system overheats, there's a LOT of pressure that builds up.
This is why the cap went flying!
The resulting gush of steam and hot coolant can also hurt you very bad!
Wait at least 15 to 20 minutes and let everything cool down a bit before removing the rad cap...

actually it was so hot thats why i removed the rad cap, i used a great big leather thing so i wouldn't and i got out of the way fast.. i know how to deal with that type of thing, and i know my throwbearring is out of it.. but today i can't even put it in gear

 

My dad got burned real bad by taking off a radiator cap once. He has little scars all over his chest from the burning. The neighbor ran over with a hose and washed him down right after it so it wasn't too bad, but still ouch!

 

no matter how hot the temps are, still wait to remove the cap..... too many people are hurt from doing that!! even w/ ingeniuss ideas, crap still happens!

 

you can always turn on the heater to help cool down the engine
