problem w/ my 2 radiator caps

how do i connect them both ? so i the reservoir sucks in the coolant and then releases it? i have drained the system like 2ice and maked sure that no air bubbles were on the radiator but it still is running out of coolant and it beeps me. i have anew water pump, new radiator, new caps and new hoses.. so i think it has something to do with the 2 caps on my car are they both suppose to be connected to something? should i block one off?

you might need higher pressure rated caps. on my old car it had 2 radiator caps but the previous owner got one of them welded off. my current car has 2 caps but its a fluidyne racing alum. one.

It sounds like there's a leak in the cooling system.&nbsp I'd try and get a pressure test done.

Are the caps from Mazda?

Did you get a filler cap and a radiator cap? (They're very different)

You can go to Autozone and rent a pressure tester for your coolant system.

That's each end of the same hose! Once the coolant heat up and expands, excess pressure is bled out of the radiator cap, through the hose and into the overflow reservior. When the engine cools and the coolant contracts, it's sucked out of the reservior and back into the radiator.

I have been having exactly the same problem for the past 2 months and it's been driving me mad. The cooling circuit has been bled properly. But every time I get the car properly warmed up the coolant doesn't go back into the radiator completely.
For as far as I know I only have one cap on the radiator though. Might a higher pressure one really solve this problem?
