Problem getting turbo apart to port.

hello, i am porting the wastegate on my 88t2 and having probs getting the turbo to come apart, all bolts are loose and the ones that are not being blocked by an inlet or outlet have been taken off already but i cant get this thing to spin or even budge, does any one have any tips on this, thank you in adavance.

wd40 on the rear portion where it attaches to the cartridge. let sit for 5 min or so then whack the exhst housing in a couple spots with a hammer.

you really dont need to pull it apart if i remember correctly, even though i pulled mine apart..stuff the wastegate inlet with a rag so no fragments go into the turbo pull off the rear cover on the hotside and dremel away..you need to weld on a bigger flap door(thick nickel plated washer) and also you need to take quiet a bit off the housing sidewall by the flap to make sure the flap will no catch and open and close freely(key) then reassemble the back plate..you should go a solid 30mm to effficiently port it..

I ported my S5 turbo without taking the turbine housing off. Just as T24Todd mentioned, I plugged the runners with rags and covered the wheel so no metal shavings could get inside. Saves some time not dealing with the rusty bolts holding the housing on.

yeah im bout to just do that, it was my first idea to stuff the rags in there and what not cause this thing is not wanting to give way, thanks for the help guys.
