probably the last A/C question from me.

I found and fixed all leaks (finally)

Pulled a Vacuum, for some reason my 2 stage Pump can only go around 27 mg. Anyway, I left it there for the whole night, next morning came back no pressure lost. so I guess Im good ?

Ok, fun part starts, charging Freeze12, first bottle.

plug it in, turn the car on with compressor on, hmm, the bottle seems to freeze up and its not going anywhere

should I turn the car off now and just let it charge slowly on its own ?

How is it going in doesn't it have a trigger or something? Isn't the car supposed to be running and the ac on?

Freeze12 is a blend, therefore it should be charged as a liquid. It sounds like you are trying to charge with gas. Here is what happens: The can gets cold, so the pressure drops to the point that the pressure equalizes between the can and the system. Now it can't go into the system.

Add some warmth with a pitcher of hot water: Start the car, then dip that cold can iof freeze12 nto the hot water. As the can warms up, the flow will begin.

Good Luck and good cooling!

here is what I did.

First Can : it was freezing (yea) so I charge it for a while with the engine on, I stop the car, wait it for 5 minutes, charge it again ------- painfully long process.

2nd Can ---- cant stand it anymore plus I gotta go out so I am gonna do the rest tomorrow.

Shouldn't it only take a couple minutes for the whole can to empty? Did it fix your air? Did you use the oil stuff

The 2nd gens were originally made with R12 A/C systems. Therefore to have the best A/C performance you need R12 coolant. Only people who were lisenced before i believe 1994 can still get R12 coolant. Long story short the stuff you buy at autoparts stores is thinner and can cause damage to your A/C pump over time. Just a fun fact people tend to not know, so if youd like to keep that pump for a while then use the right stuff

Everything you wrote there is wrong except that FC's were designed with R12.

Ive talked to An A/c and rotary specialist in the seattle area for 30 years.

AC systems work with R135 also but the R12 should have R12
Cars can run on 87 octane at arco too but does that mean you are going to use it?

Again you are wrong. 87 octane is exactly what the N/A FC runs on the very best.

What you said is somewhat true. Yes you should charge R12 system with R12.

but Freeze12 is a special blend thats designed to work with R12 system. it cools almost as good as R12 and it wont kill the Ozone like R12 does. Hmm so yeah why not ?

and btw, Im with Jackhild, RX-7's Manual DOES call for 87 Octane gas. So I dont really see your point.

Your 30 years rotary specialist probably never even heard of Freeze12, neither did I until I got my FC and found this web site.

jackhild59 , I want to say thank you very much. with your guide/help I finally got my AC to work today, Fully, ahhh cold AC .... no leak whatsoever. 2 bottles of Freeze12 + another bottle of small 2 oz Freeze 12 so its about 26 Oz total (some leak out when I was trying to bled the line, but close enough)

without your help I not gonna be able to do it this easily.

Again, Thanks a lot ! I owe you one.

Ok so I did mine today. I did the kit I ordered had the smaller can of oil and 2 freeze 12 bottles. I added the oil stuff first. Then moved to the freeze 12. The rubber piece that does around the can to seal it got damaged after the oil stuff. So when I was putting the freeze 12 in some was coming out.... Like if I turned it upside down the alot came out but if it was upright it was just a little coming out and I could hear it going in. Did both cans and is cooler it's just not cold. So I don't know if I should get another can or what. What do you guys think? If I did another can would that be too much?

That means you didn't.

You need to *evacuate* the system prior to charging by pulling a very deep vacuum. 29.99"+ vacuum.

If you didn't pull the vacuum, there is other 'stuff' in your system. You don't know what that stuff is, it may be air, it may be R12 it may be R134a, it may be moisture. It is likely a little of all the above.

You cannot know you have the system correctly charged unless you get everything out of it first. Thus, pull a vacuum.
