Probably a dumb question

On the top of the motor there is a cluster of hard lines. The fuel lines run through them as well as vaccum lines. I wanted to clean up the motor a little bit but i noticed the three ( orange blue and gray sensors on that were connected. My question is what are these sensors for and do i need them.

This is an: S5 t2 with the banzai block off plates. No air pump no a/c

Emissions related stuff, feel free to remove them. You will have to run new fuel lines.

I believe the FSM refers to it as the vacuum rack, but it's more commonly known as the 'rat's nest'. The things with the plugs on them are actually solenoids. You really don't need it if you're not an S5 n/a and you don't care about emissions. There's a bunch of threads about going about removing it.
