pressurizing fuel pump with no intake

my wife's tII has a bad fuel leak and we're trying to track it down. is there any way to pressurize the fuel system without trying to start the car? i have the upper off the car so i really can't do that. i turned the key to the on position thinking the pump should have turned on, but i didn't get any leakage when i did that.

yellow connector on pass side shrutbar tower, behind the air flow meter, connect it in to its self, fuel pump runs with key on.

Correct, you want to jump the pins of that connector. a paper clip works great.

If that should not work take the intake off and press the AFM in, the fuel pump should kick on.

There should be a yellow one around there, if you just can't find it then just open/remove the airbox and press in on the AFM. That will do the same thing.
