do these realy work, or if they do, wich ones? i have a 87 non turbo base. ive been looking on ebay and saw these module. please help.

they charge like $10 for a simple $.02 resistor from radio shack!

Yep, thats the one. This used to come up all the time, then it kind of tapered off.

To the thread starter, you can get the resistor at Radio Shack for cheap. But I dont recommend this type of modification. Not even worth the 2 pennies you might plunk down for the resistor.

it is an unreliable mod as it basically just tricks the ECU into thinking the air entering the engine is colder than it actually is, this can induce some performance gains at certain times and power loss and added fuel consumption at other times.

I just recently got one of those except it was some 45 hp performance programed chip on my 99 intrepid just for kicks. It just does the same thing with the intake sensor but it still sets the engine code for the voltage being to low. But it feels like it was there but i took it since i wanted to make sure nothing was wrong since the light was on

Nice it's been a while since i've seen one of these, but if you want cheap power go to an autostore buy some 2.5 inch exhaust pipe and replace your cats with it i pormise you'll make more power and the pipe is dirt cheap and you can go ghetto and clamp it or throw down a few extra bucks to get it welded
