Pre mixing fuel??

Pre mixing fuel??

Hey guys just had a quick question that I thought I should run by everyone. I met a guy yesterday at work (Advance Auto Parts) who supposedly is very knowledgeable about our cars and has worked with rotaries his whole life. He mentioned something to me about pre mixing fuel with 2 cycle oil. Is this correct? Heard of it before? If so what is it for?

If you still have your omp and it's working correctly there shouldn't be a reason to premix. Is your car an S4 or S5? The reason that I ask is that the S5 OMP is electronic and the S4 is mechanical. People delete the OMP and premix as a form of insurance against the omp failing.

yea yea blah blah search search...

To answer your question You should premix if your OMP is deleted....if it is still in then some people suggest you add a little premix in the gas tank anyways just for peace in mind.

It's never really a bad idea but it also depends on how it's running. If you check your oil about every week you'll see a change in level if you don't then you should premix. Gotta keep those apex seals working good and lasting long.
