I also have a 10th ann and mine do the exact same thing. I tried oiling and cleaning the tracks and It got a little better but its still very slow. Someone told me it might be that the switch is just bad.

calrx7, remove your door card and use your chemical cleaner of choice... scrub a dub and get em clean Not sure but you could probably lube the tracks with white lithium grease??? Maybe there's something specifically designed for this purpose... good luck! I doubt it's your switch if you're just sticking at one point. I have window and sunroof woes myself at this time... Plan to fix over the next few weekends.

Mine did the exact same thing. I cleaned the tracks and tore apart the switch on the passenger side. Nothing helped until I ran two wires from the battery to the window motor. When I touched the wires to the two prongs on the connector to the motor the window went up fast like it should, reverse the wires and the window went down like it should. The switches were the problem and cleaning them wasn't the fix. I went online and bought two universal power window switches and mounted them in a blank spot I had where my radio used to mount. Problem solved!

see if it was the switches, it would be slow all the travel, not just the top half of travel

Are you being sarcastic? Cuase I was being serious. I hate power windows. They always get jammed and rolling up oh so slow. Manual windows are better cause when you turn off your car, you can still roll up or down. Plus, it doesn't have a motor that you need to lube and I think it has a smaller mass. See all those plus sides greatly overshadow the power features.

Well, I kinda disagree with the travel issue of anything mechanical. GRAVITY plays a big roll in it all. Tension on the cables down and up , think about it. Which has quicker travel, the push, or return on hydraulics? Same principle. Tighten the cables, clean the switches, and save some greenbacks. Just my opinion, of course!

PEACE THE MUTT

The lithium grease helped with my passenger window after I found out it was moving too slow to describe. I lubed the guide tracks and the track that the motor is on. Thanks again.

do exactly what was stated above. remove the door covers and inspect the connections of the window switch. I resoldered mine just to eliminate the root cause. I also went to autozone and spent 3 bucks on a can of lithium grease. I sprayed the lining and the motor track and now everything is doing good, as it should. if both switches do the same thing, it just needs some grease.
