power window question.

OK...Here's the deal. I'm wondering if I can wire in direct power to my passenger side window switch. it seems like the switch isn't getting any juice. The motor is good, (i tested it. it works), i cleaned the **** out of the switch....

If theres a break in the wiring, would it be possible to use the door light power wire for the window switch? The door light still works IIRC.

Any other place that I can tap for it?

Seems to me that you have given some very sound advice on this before. Is the driver's side switches clean, and hooked up? Remember, passenger side wont work unless driver's side is attached and functional.

You still are not getting any power???

Passengers switch gets its power from the drivers switch.

If you are still stuck this weekend, give me a call and come over and I'll check it out for you.

ok....bumping this thread....

it looks as if i'm NOT getting power to the passenger side switch. I was thinking of drawing power from a different source such as the door light in the panel but that may be a bad idea.

I'm thinking of running a new power wire from the drivers side switch. yes? no?

so the black/blue at the passengers door plug does not have 12 volts on it with the key in the ON position and the drivers power window switch not in the lock position???

If you run power from another source, then the lock out switch in the drivers door won't work

Nope....no power.

I don't really care about the lock out switch. Mombodogs is giving me a new passenger side switch since I hacked mine up looping the wires.

I'm gonna test it again to be sure...

What power source can I tap into?

what about coming out of the drivers door window plug. Is there 12 volts there on the Black/Blue???

I guess you could wire it to the radio power if you just wanted to give up

The nearest high current power source is probably the heater fan relay.

My Mazda driver's side switch plastic was FUBAR.
I am temporarly running with a GM switch, so I need to either bite the bullet & buy a new driver's side switch, or hot wire the passenger side switch.
