power steering stiffness

Cartek just overhauled my rack as it was leaking (still may be and now the steering seems much stiffer, I used to be able to whip my 88 vert around with 1 finger. Not that it's bad, just seems like a lot of money (like $400.00) to have it so stiff.

Also, is it my imagination or is it possible that the wheels no longer turn as much lock-to-lock as they did, i.e. larger turning radius?

Before you flame, I searched and the search function is disabled at the moment.

is your power steering pump and power steering CPU hooked up? Are you getting any boost at low speed?

I am not sure if the pump is hooked up other than the belt is on, re the CPU, no idea at all.....it has fluid, and yes, some boost but nowhere as "easy" as before
