Power steering removal...revisited
Ok, I've been collecting a lot of input on this subject. I see two options here:
1. Loop the lines on the rack
-downside...the fittings right under the oil pan the drivers side.
2. Loop the lines that orig went to the PS pump. The ones with the banjo bolts? right?
Block the cooling loop.
Ok, so my big question is which method, or both do I do. Anyone have pictures of the looped pump lines? I've seen the looped lines on the rack. Thanks.

well, umm just taking off the belt and removing the fuse wont do much considering the whole point is to reduce wieght from your car by removing the pump itself. so yeah i think your at a disadvantage there unless your popeye and have huge fore arms.

A/C = go at the lines w/ bolt cutters, and unbolt all the components.
P/S = unbolt the P/S pump from the rack, and from there.... I'm not sure
I have the 2-line type (the feed and the cooling lines are the same line) and I just capped them both off. I'll find out how that works for me... as soon as my car runs.

Just to let you know, dude. The method I mentioned is the method used by Mazdaspeed7.
Plus, if it IS too hard to turn, all you have to do is loop a couple of lines.

the answer has arrived.

Beware of pop ups, but it is the answer, I spent about 15 bucks for the parts at home depot and it works fine.
