Power steering rack vs manual steering rack ? pros/cons

im getting a manual steering rack, i bought one off someone off the forum to replace my power steering rack... ive heard some good and bad things about the power steering and manual steering rack, but which one is truly better ?

the main thing i heard is bad with the manual is something about the steering radius isnt as much as athe power one or something like that ?

the power i heard just sucks if u take off the pump and plug the lines ( hard to turn at complete stop) and it also weighs more than the manual rack

im probably just going to put the manual rack in since i already paid for it , but whats the drawback to using it instead of the power one (if any)with the lines plugged

as long as it will drive good and corner well and work good for drift etc its all good, i dont want a car that has a pos turning radius tho that i need to do 10 point turns in to get out of a tight spot tho

The P/S rack has less turns than a Manual. Basic gear advantage tells us that its easier with more turns to operate an unassited rack. But its slower.

IIRC, you don't just plug the fittings on a power rack after you pull the pump - you should connect them together with a hose. Do a search.

You can do it both ways.

If you convert to a manual rack, make sure you get the correct brackets for attachment to the chassis. The bracket used for the power steering rack on the passenger side will not work for the manual rack. However, the driver's side bracket works for both racks.

I love my manual rack. Besides, it makes changing spark plugs super easy.
