Exclamation Power Steering.. Problems. Any write ups on, trouble shooting?

Are there any write up on how to trouble- shoot power- steering problems?
I put a whole bottle of power steering fluid into the FC s4 and it seemed to be fine.
a week later seems like the power- steering is not really working.
All i know is, last week it was cold a ****, and the steering made noises when i turned the car on and when i tuned the wheel.

Any suggestions on how to figure out if its the PS pump, PS belt or something else?

thanx
