Power steering problems with 13bt
Power steering problems with 13bt
I need some advice in fixing the power steering with Fc3s 13b turbo in Rx-8 chassis as the power steering can't work. All electrical and wiring done and controlled by mircotech.Urgently need advice.

The rx-8 uses the electric PS pump on the rack (as you know) which is controlled by the stock PCM...which apparently uses several inputs including engine rpm and vehicle speed. Since you no longer (I assume) have the stock PCM or the stock crank trigger, you can't make it work.
What you could do is leave the stock PCM to control the "body" stuff, and add onto your 13bt front cover/crank pullies the stock rx8/renesis crank angle sensor and trigger wheel. This should satisfy the car's need for engine rpm input, keep your tach (and probably most other basic functions) working.
You'll probably have to do similar things for coolant and oil pressure gauges...run the original renesis sending units.
I havent gotten far enough into them to know if the outputs are similar or not.

Then what about the microtech? Is it possible to keep the stock PCM with microtech attached?Generally How do I solve this major Problem as the stock rpm, speed and other stock monitoring dash board are to connect to microtech not to the PCM anymore.................

I don't think you understand. Connect both inputs. Use the microtech to run the engine via whatever means it currently does. Take the old renesis crank trigger and sensor, mount them elsewhere on the crank (such as the front edge), and feed that signal to the stock pcm, just like it would have been. You'll need to supply basic inputs to the stock pcm...power, ground, switch, etc. You'd keep the stock pcm so that the car operates, and the microtech for the engine.
It's really the only way I can think of, unless you want to remove/disregard all the stock PCM controlled electronics such as DSC, ABS, PS, AC, gauges, etc.
