power steering pressure switch?

Hi on my 88' Vert PS pump has always been disconected. I put it all back together but the pressure swich at the bottom of the pump is of S5 pump so I left those two wires hanging. Now PS helps just a little bit - it's so week that it feels like it doesn't even work - but it's easier to turn the wheels than without the pump. Is it because of the switch that the pum doesn't boost all the way? And yes I've bleeded system few times, but it didn't make a diffrence.
Please help

No, the pressure switch has nothing to do with the operation of the power steering system. It sends a signal to increase idle speed while the wheel is being turned.

It's the little electric gear motor on top of the pump that regulates the assist.
The pressure switch is on the bottom.
