Power steering mixup. S4, s5...
Hi,
I have a s4 powersteering in my 1988 turbo2. I aint got the s4 powersteering pump but i have a s5 pump. The s4 seems to have one extra pipe from the pump to the powersteering-rack. How can i use the s5 pump with the s4 rack? Do i have to use a s5 pump to with a s5 rack....

I swapped the pump by using the S4 pump's tank & servo valve control parts with the S5 hydraulic pump.
The S4's speed sensing setup is superior to the S5 NA's RPM sensing design anyway.
FWIW, the S5 turbo uses the same setup as the S4's.

im not able to use any of the s4 power steering stuff. The only parts i have is:
2 s5 pumps (with control valves etc)
1 s4 steering linkage
1 s5 'steering linkage
Can i block of the extra connection on tHe s4 steering linkage/gear and use the s5 pump like as a s5 or do i have to use the s5 steering linkage?
