Power steering to manual conversion...looping line

Like the title says. I'm wanting to try out a looped line powersteering to manual conversion. I've got an 89 convertible (with TII swap..if it matters). I had to remove the power steering pulley and while it's off I'd like to see how a looped conversion feels. I've got electronic controlled power steering and am unsure which lines I'm looping. I've got 2 pressure lines, one smaller one feeding into what I assume is the electronic portion of my system, a larger one and then a return below. Am I plugging the smaller of the lines and looping the larger with the return?

Other than pulling the pulley and the belt off I haven't done anything else....well and unplug the harness. It makes sense that I would want to drain and then loop down at the rack to get as much of the fluid out as possible. I want some fluid in the rack to act as a lubricant.

I was hoping for some feedback before I started.

Thanks

A better idea would be to remove the rack from the car, disasseble it and remove the o-rings and seals; it will reduce steering effort a bit and will look cleaner.

Heres a guide if your interested

If you're going to leave the rack in the car then loop the two lines on the rack body, plug off the rest of the lines on the pinion area. No need to drain it, but it'll help make it a little lighter feeling. The best way to do it is this:

Note the part about welding the pinion shaft. That makes a noticable difference and it feel wonderful afterwards. Instant steering response. It's worth the extra effort, trust me, I've felt manual with and without it welded.
