I'm currently installing an aftermarket stereo and I know I need to use a relay for the power antenna..I've never done that before when installing a stereo. Can anyone tell me how to do this and what I need to buy to do it??? lol.. Thanks guys.

 

Check out the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section and the top of the new member technical section. In that thread it will have a diagram on how to wire a relay for using an aftermarket radio with the stock power antenna.

 

So can I just buy a relay at an autoparts store that will work?

 

i bought one at radioshack. They have automotive relays.
Hooked it up to my aftermarket headunit and works perfectly.

 

yep, radio shack, most autoparts stores, most auto stereo shops...
