Can tell me the best way to get at the power antenna
I have a 1986 rx7
It looks as if I have to take the tail light off
This is the year that age is cathing up to the car

 

you just have to pull down the flap of carpet in the back and you can access it
are you trying to replace it?
if so you have to unscrew the set ring that holds the top of the antenna to the car and then i believe there are two nuts holding it to the body on the inside behind the carpet

 

I'm replacing the mast
do I have to take the whole thing out to do this

 

You'll have to in order to get any remaining bits of the mast that are still inside it.
