Again that was a Luxury, (or GS) not a base.

If it had power mirrors it was a luxury, not a base. the base did not have the power mirrors.

Convertible only??
pouch to put sunglasses in on driver's side visor
map pouch on back of passenger side seat

Special additions to my car:
-Rock-guard on rock panels (sprayed on by previous owner with paintjob, you know, that textured stuff to keep from chipping your paint?) Not a bad idea in Vermont, actually
-Red painted calipers (think he was having a mid-life crisis? Wait, there's more. . . )
-Chrome piping around trunk and wheel wells
AND my personal favorite. . . (i'd been saving these in my toolbox for a long time. . .)
-Oldmosbile font Fuel Injected emblems on each side front quarter panel. Joyously removed on first road trip.

My '90 GXL has the cd headunit but instead of the graphic equalizer (or driver/passenger acoustic 'centering' buttons) I have the mute button that was found in the verts (I think they were 'vert only?). It's stock too, as I have the original window sticker. I also have the mudflaps, the Mazda embroidered bra (anyone want it? I'm certainly not using it) and a Mazda sunroof windguard.

There are a few options that can be added later fairly easily to make a strange combination. For example, the wiring for power mirrors is all there. All you need is the switch and, of course, power mirrors.

I think the TII w/o a rear spoiler was the dumbest "anti-option."

I have no options except for A/C, and it doesn't work.

Hmm! Where is this 'vert? Did you go check it out as you said in September last year?

BTW, check out the price on this 'vert! http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...lor=&cardist=0
Someone should let him know the value...

'86 (Ok I guess it's a "Luxury")

- No Bins
- No back Seats
- 4 Lug
- A/C
- Manual Steering
- Manual Windows
- Power Mirrors
- Power Sunroof

I'm not sure about the spare. I haven't looked.

Edit:

Factory-Installed Turbos? Whoa. Did they do everything, or just the half-*** method I'm using?? :P

That's just the aero package found on the 86-87 Sport, 88 GTU, and 88 T2.

I have an 87 NA with AC. Thats it. No tilt, cruise, power windows, mirrors, locks, or steering. No security, hard suspension or moonroof. My car has nothing... but that's good for weight.

Then you have a 87 Base... they didn't make the SE until 88 and even then it was a rebadged luxury coupe not a base RX-7.

87 model year specs:

Well, I hope the State of Ohio doesn't care that my title is (and probably always has been) wrong.

The only option I've ever missed is that aluminum hood.

Yeah the old Pioneer (and most CD players in the early eighties) had a seperate box that controlled the CD operation or the radio operation and a data cable that ran between them.

There was not enough room in the head units back then to fit the large components and the CD transport.

My 90 TII has the MoMo stamped steering wheel. Did they come with that wheel? Mine had the mysterious cell phone holes and remaining hatch antenna also. The strangest I've seen personally is a GXL (88 maybe?) in Fort Walton Beach, FL owned by a hotel owner. It has a wing on it I've never seen on any other. Its a flat wing that dips at the ends and mounts with two pedestals. I thought it was aftermarket but I was told it came like that.

someone before mentioned tinted vs. non-tinted S5 tails and thats just plain wrong. every S5 tail from japan and the U.S. has the exact same finish and a smoke-tint. I'm pretty sure even vert S5 tails fit the coupe just fine...(unless u are swapping them on an S4 car and you need the license plate section). as for my car the options were small bc it's an SE but I did have the 4 lug enkei spare anyone got a pic of this mazda radar detector? thats cool!!
