possible to use s5 GAUGES in an s4?

I was wondering if a gauge cluster from a 89-91 car could be used in a 86-88 car?
would there be any modifications needed to make the gauges read accurately? obviously the redline would appear differently on the tach, but could you make the existing electronics on the s4 drive the gauges from the s5?

I did it, well almost. The s5 unit will plug right in, but all the guages will read wrong, and the lights wont work. I heard all you have to do is rearange the wires in the two big plugs and it will work fine. we just need to figure out how to arange them.

i'm really interested to learn more about this, the s5 gauges are much cooler looking in my opinion.
