Possible to use an S4 WG Actuator on the S5 Turbo?

My actuator took a crap on me, so I got a free actuator to replace it. The only catch is that it's an s4 actuator, with the straight rod coming out of it.

Has anyone used this on an s5 turbo? Could it be as simple as bending that rod?

well, considering that the S5's ran more boost than the S4's, id think the spring inside of the replacement would be weaker, making the WG open at a lower boost. I dont know the respective lengths of the rods, having never worked on an S5, so I cant tell you for sure

Actually, yes the S5 did run most boost, but it has nothing to do with the (mechanical) spring in the WG actuator.
The S5 turbo has a boost solenoid that bleeds off pressure off the WG line.
The spring is identical for all FC turbos.

No, you can't swap the rods, cause the S5 one is longer.

So is it safe to say it isn't possible to use this actuator then?

Thanks for the help.
