Angry Possible my last post (EVER)

Guys, as alot of u know that my 88TII been down for a couple of months now.due to fuel & vac leak problems.
After i sent my Injectors to be rebuilt by RC Engineering. and swap out the bad FPR to a good use one from another 88TII. I was hopeing that it will cure the Super pig rich car, i have not yet to run the car so i don't know far sure yet.
Then I perform TB, TID, removed all emmisions BAC, ACV, EGR, & Spider vac rack. to minimize amount of vacume lines under the hood. In the process i manage to strip one of the tread that hold the UIM to LIM, so i fix that by file the tread with a round file and use 5/16 nut and bolt w/ lock ring to hold them together. and new gaskets.

Put everything together this morning, to my surprise the car fired up the 1st try. But!! idle @ around 1500rpm for a few second then stall & died. fire it bck up..same result.

so i think ok! TB mod=bad idle. (i'm just super glad it didn't idle @4K like b4 ) so i figure i will tap on the gas until it get to operation temp ( it's about 40F out right now) then it should be ok..fired it up......no start this time..it's flooded.. I deflood it..and try..nothing..took the plugs out----->clean'em--->deflood--->crank=nothing.. now i'm like WWWTTTFFFFF!!!!! it's not a scary amount of fuel @ the plugs like b4 either..so now i have no clue what to do.
My patience is running out, I love the car pure a decent amount of money..and love, to fix it..but now i'm tired of not having reliable car.. If i don't get it running soon i might have to sell it and go back to Nissan again.
I hope u guys can help me.........Thanks in advance
C

I had a similar problem with my 88TII recently I think there is a flaw in the ecu somewhere about leaving the injectors wide open under certian conditions.

I had a few vaccum leaks as well but my car wouldn't start at all, first get a set of dry plugs (a set that hasn't been soaked in gas).
b4 you put the new plugs in remove the CAS and restab it with the pionter on the yellow mark on the main pully.

put the new plugs in, get a clamp and clamp off the fuel line then try and start it .

if you can get it started spray carb cleaner all over the engine untill you can find a leak.

try those things and see if it helps

try push starting it...i know its cold as hell outside but if its flooded then it will work..also before you do that double check and make sure you have no hoses unplugged..you could have a vacuum leak thats why it fires up then shuts off...make sure everything is connected then push start it.

yes check your cas connection both at the cas and at the wiring end to the ECU that is where my problem was at the ecu end for the cas signal!

OK, it's start after a run toa local auto parts and $40 for new NGKs. but will not idle and smoke like a @#$%^&*(). smell like oil and gas mix..so..it's not ok..
but it's getting too cold now to go out and fix a car i think it's lower 30s F now.~~~~~
so FC 1 / ME 0
i have to figure out why it's smoking. can it be that it didn't run for a long time??? but the smell it's just bothering me ..like some thing bad is about to happen.
hmmm...tomorrow...
what do u guys think??

If the ECU is part of the problem, there is that "reboot" technique that you might try. I've read of it here on the Forum.

Basically, you disconnect the battery and step on the brake pedal until you have drained all electrical energy out of the car. Normally the ECU is retaining a charge, they say, and draining it and reconnecting the battery can reset the ECU, correcting any wierd, electrically-related snafus.

Good luck!

it may be your 1piece apex seals, and the temp causing your smell and smoke. Those things require extreme amounts of perfection to install, and are kinda quirky. Just let the motor get warmed up, youll have to hold it at about 2k and see what you get. also check your vac line to the pulsation dampener to make sure that its not kinked/collapsed/crushed or something,
