Possible leak?

Hey guys was looking under my 90 rhd rx7 gtr, and saw a dark wet spot on this rail (pics, wet spot not there on these pics) right where the driver door is.

Wonder what the possible leak could be if there is one... The wet spot covers about 8 inches of the rail and extends to the frame. And its basically a very black non oily substance. Doesn't smell like anything in particular.

I'm not losing any brake fluid that was my first guess,

Thanks appreciate any help.

Wait and see if it evaporates or not. If it doesn't, it is oil.

I can't see anything in that picture. Try cleaning it up then going for a short drive. Might be brake fluid?

Thanks for the replies, sorry I didn't have access to a camera last night, but here are the updated pics with the visible stain...

Hope this sheds more light on what I was worried about.

Thanks
