well, yes its possible to have too much fuel pressure
However this is extremely unlikely if you have a stock pump, or even a performance pump for that matter.........
your car won't start - more than likely - because its flooded.....
Whats the info on the car and what is actually happening with it?

I notice that it floods more frequently(like every thime I try to start it). I notice that I have fuel dripping out of my exhaust. I thought it was an ignition problem but I have plenty of spark now(replaced lead ignitor). last year it started but wouldn't idle,it would surge, now it won't start at all. I do have an upgraded fuel pump(walbro 255lph). I was told this would work with my stock set up. I also replaced maf.
list of things I have checked:
pressure sensor
thermo sensor
intake temp sensor(both)
t.p.s.
compression
b.a.c.
b.a.c. control valve
things I have replaced:
spark plugs(new)
wires(new)
leading ignitor w/ coil
m.a.f
throttle body(not inc. tps)
crank angle sensor
fuel pump(walbro 255lph)
vaccum lines(all)

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
There's no point in having a Walbro on an N/A.
Too much fuel pressure can also break your fuel lines. They can stand quite a bit of pressure, but not infinite amounts.

I checked them the way my manual said to (ressistance, opperation, pressure, etc...) the compression is good I checked it four times (each rotor). should I install the stock fuel pump? should I get a pressure regulator? I checked the every thing before I replaced things. I replaced the crank angle sensor because I was getting bad spark(leading) I thouhgt that was the problem. I replaced the throttlebody because the throttle plate would stick fully open(not secondary)
