Possesed Cruise control!?

Not to much around the forum I could find on CC.
Whenever I engage my CC (10thAE) it just floors it!
Full boost and everything (me screaming!)
I can't change the cruise speed setting... One time I thought I would ride it out to see when it would stop....
I got to 110 then finally cut it off....
No idea what this could be... Fuse? Stuck cable? Gremlins?

All it's doing is getting you up to the proper cruising speed...

It's in the switch. In the button on the end of the switch. It's sticking. It's keeping a ground on that circuit when the ground should have been removed when you let off the button on the end of the switch. That's what I think it is. Sticking switch/button.

When you press that button it puts a ground on a circuit in the Cruise Control Box. When you let off that button, the ground is removed. So..get the meter out and the Cruise Diagram. Find the wire that goes from the button to the cruise connector. Put the meter........oh you get the idea. Sticking button or internals to the button. The one on the end of the cruise switch.

In other words...take it to the closest mechanic.

I'll let ya know if my car runs when I am done with my current job, then you can let me know when you take your CC out!
I'm doing the removal of whole vacrac, MOP, cleaned injectors at Marren, new gaskets on intake and turbo and racing beat downpipe + presilencer.... Gulp! First time for me doing a job this big and first time to work on a TII , I was all clutch and exhaust before this... So please pray for me!
Thx!

I pulled my CC a while ago, I have the actual underhood unit just sitting in a box in the garage if anyone needs it for future reference.
