possable metering oil pump problem?

possable metering oil pump problem?

hey guys, my car the past few times i have goten gas i have always checked my oil but it has remained the same. it seems like my car has not been burning oil like usuall. its a 87 and its got a "few" miles on it. worried tho. help would be awsome guys thanks

The mechanical S4 OMPs are more reliable than the electronic S5 OMPs. You should burn around 1 quart every 1000-3000 miles depending on your driving style. But, if you still think your OMP is malfunctioning, check the compression of both rotors. If the rear rotor has low compression but your front is fine, you're OMP may be bad after all.

or go hardcore and run premix!!! The only thing you have to worry about non-functioning right is your brain.

There is a decent write up on Rotaryresurrection.com,I personnaly did it. but since my car isnt done yet, i cant tell you how I like it.
