is it possable i am too low

ok so i lowered my car about 2 inches from the ground maybe 21/2. and i have been having funny steering problems. i have had 2 aligments about 2 mo apart. i am still on stock 15" gtu rims. the problems i have been having is a slight tracking and a slight pull to the right. i have check just about everything i can think of minus to send it in to see if i have a bent chassis and it all looks good. i have check my bushing on the front and the barrings. all seem to be ok. so to get down to my question and this is just a thought i have been having. if i am too low would that make the sway bar end link pre-load causing "funny" steering input? i am looking at getting RB end links that are adjustable. i am just trying to elimanate the cheap stuff b4 i get to the body shop where they charge like 80 and hr.

Did you try moving the front tires side to side to see if pull changes.

Have you checked to make sure the front caliper on the side that it pulls to hasnt seized up on you? When your braking does it pull more to that side, pull back to the left again, or even out the pull? if it does any of that i would say its the caliper.

i have checked the caliper and it seems to be in good shape. however my rears are need of change pads and rotors. but so far nothign seems to be sticking. no abnormal wear on the front calipers. i will take it aprt next week because i am headed out of town this weekend for the 4th

Where are you getting it aligned? if your just going to a generic tire shop there specs will set it too what they are at standard ride height.

If you lower your car that much you need a bump steer kit.
when the control arms go above horizontal they steering dose something funny.
This should fix it. Special ball joints exist for lowed cars as-well but I do not know if they are required.

My 88 is only 1/2 inch lower in the front and it steers funny when I compress the suspension while on the highway.

When the control arms go above horizontal the tie rods are still on a downward angle and this gives you toe out because the steering rack isn't on the same plane as the control arms.

Cool I new something was up but i didn't really know exactly what. Not that i plan to go any lower. The roads in Nova Scotia are to bad for low cars to drive on, for the first half of the summer. They still haven't got all the ice damage fixed from this winter.

ok well i know what bump steer is and yes i do have it however bump steer shouldnt make the car pull to one side its just when you hit a bump your steering wheel will jab to one side. i was more just asking if have your sway bars preloaded could affect the steering. but its still a good thought tho. the place i got it done at was a privetly owned business (generic) then i went to les schwab. i like schwab better tho. today i am going to take off the tires rotate them and re mount my front suspension.

no i do, i understand that i do get it. but from my understanding is that bumpsteer is quick jabs to ither side when you hits bumps and divits in the road from your suspension being maxed out/ low. i just didnt think that it would always be to one side.

What happened when you swapped the tires? Did it go away? Could be a radial tire pull. Happens a lot.
