Porting wastegate, exhaust housing stuck

I'm trying to port the waste gate on my s4 turbo but i can't get the exhaust housing off. any tips? I searched but can't find anything. I was also wondering what kind of benifits i'd get from porting where the exhaust enters the turbo, kinda knife edge the bridge and enlarge both ports a bit. Also anything else i can do while its apart?

Try some rust buster on the bolts. The exhaust bolts are old and can break off if enough tq is provided. Leave the rust buster on overnight and try it the next day. As for porting the manifold you'll see it when you have it apart. I don't think there is much you can do. Try and find an s5 turbo and manifold. That would be an upgrade.

i'm turboing an na the s4 turbo should be fine i'm not lookin to spend any money. I'm not talking about porting the manifold i'm talking about porting where the exhaust enters the turbo. kinda like this.

All the bolts are out but the housing won't move.
Also wondering if anyone has welded the wastegate shut and used an external one on a stock turbo

please people any help? I know many of you have taken these turbos apart i'm at a standstill, i don't want to man handle it to get it apart and damage anything

Bash it with a hammer after using penetrating oil where the housing meets the CHRA. They get stuck after a few years. There is no trick to doing this, only brute force.

they housing doesn't crack easy? and should i be worried about damaging the exhaust turbine when doing this, i know the intake side can nick the impeller if it's not pulled straight off
