I did it because I was bored....
Used a dremel, a sanding drum, and after I was done, I caught fire to it. Made it smooth as stock, without that lip. It may not have done anything... but who cares? It was 20 minutes of SOMETHING to do.

I can't see you getting any power gains out of it. That intake pipe is already bigger than any other one I can rembember seing on a car. It's even bigger than those aluminum pipes that cold air kits come with on honda's, isn't it?

J-B weld in the air flow area , what if it is sucked in to the motor ? The holes can be pluged from the out side with screws -bolts -plugs ect that can never get sucked in , Make the end of the screw ,bolt ect flush with the throttle bore with a die grinder . J B weld can work out , there is no question about that.
