porting
what is the difference between race porting, street porting, bridge porting, and 1/2 bridge porting? it has really been confusing me i didn't know if they were all the same or if they all were different. please help
yes their all differnt, they mean bigger ports...
like street is a slightly ported motor...as a bridge port is a huge port thus you WILL have to run alot of boost to run it right...
it just expands the housings intake ports to fit in more a/f.

You don't have to run high boost to run a bridge....so many people run bridge NAs.
To take full advantage of a bridgeport you should get a free flowing exhaust and upgraded intake..but you don't have to.
A street port is the stock port extended slightly and smoothed out. A bridgeport is an eyebrow above the port. You can also port match your housings for a bridge by notching the sides of them where the port is on the iron...if that makes sense.
A half bridge is all primary ports bridged, a full bridge is all primary ports and all aux ports bridged.
