To port or not to port? THAT is the question...
I have a 88 SE with about 130,500 miles on it. It runs fine(except for a slight electrical bug every other day), and still pulls very strongly. Here's the obvious(maybe stupid) question. Should I get it street-ported? Some friends say "go for it", while others say "save up and get a new street-ported motor from KD". What should I do. I can get it done for about $400-$500. I don't want to do it and end killing my rex. The only mods I have are a K&N cone-stlye RActive intake and Opak*rolls eyes*mufflers*rolls them once again*(the mufflers are from the previous owner). If I do get it done now, what other mods would I have or should do(reliability, perf.)? Thanks alot....

Curiosity got the best of me. You found somebody who would street port the engine for 500 bucks. Does this include the labor for reassemblying and the parts cost also? Not being a smart ****. Just curious how things work. Oh. to port or not to port. On an engine with that much milage, I think you'd be better off rebuilding with new apex seal, orings etc.
