I hear the same poping noise from my 88TII Like when I let off the gas in 5th gear under 3k rpms it does it, I just put it in nuetral and use the brakes, thats my fix

 

I am in LOVE! Damn I love this car already... I just went for a 30 mile or so cruise. Stocked the back of the car up with tools & spare water & oil Etc. and went for my first real ride. I still have most of my stock stuff installed, and I can't hit boost or anything yet .. but it just drives SOO much smoother than my N/A (I think the suspension is shot on my 87) wider tires, corners better. All my work has finally payed off, I'm happier than a pig in ****. I can't wait to rack up about 1200 miles, smog this thing ... then add the real toys

Hey, Bio... If you see a faded white AE with a sanded hood that be me; give a honk! (new paint is comming very soon, but I gotta save up the $2500 first, mods done, paint next) I think I am going to cruise to Valley Springs and up to Comanche & Pardee tommorow, the more miles the marrier.
