hey everyone help with my rotary,what are all the possible causes of low compression in a rotary that is running.only poor for #2 rotor.are they all tear down issues?i read some posts talking about secondary intake ports that open etc.could this be stuck open and cause it?its an 88 non turbo and if i have to tear it down what bolt on mods would you all suggest to build more streetable power [other than nitrous]thanx for the input.

 

for bad compression it could be bad carbon build up around the apex seals

 

If it is carbon buildup you could do the ATF treatment or it may be a blown engine which would require a complete teardown and rebuild of the block. If you are going to rebuild it you might want to go with a port job since the only time you can do that is when the engine is apart.
