Polished manifolds

I'm almost done polishing my manifolds so I uploaded some pics.

The LIM is only taken down with 200 grit on a barrel with a dremel.

The UIM and TB elbow are taken down with the 200 grit.
Then 320 wet.
Then 500-800 wet(can't remember)

It's pretty smooth.
I'm going to get the LIM at the same point ands then will use compound.

Any tips?Maybe use a certain white and red compound?

But what about the inside of the manifold... the inside is the only thing that matters!!!

Looks good, still have alot of work to go though. Polishing stuff takes a ton of time, I know Ive done a few little things, but decided Id rather paint the manifolds. Make sure to clean them off, then put a few coats of high-temp clear coat on once finished.

I'm doing this all myself and done have a dremel extension or anything so polishing the inside isn't going to happen.

This is more for the bling and because the things were all crusted from sea salt or something.

I've spent around 3 hours each on the first sanding.
Then around an hour on each for each other grit.

I was thinking of spraying it with a high temp clear when I'm done to help preserve the shine.

definately give it a whirl with the clearcoat, helps a LOT in preserving the shine.

powdercoating would look sweet, not too hard or expensive either:

Hmm MAF???? Damn now you got me thinking.

I didn;t do the inside because it was hard enough getting the crevices on the outside.

I'm using my hands and a dremel to do this. I can't get inside the manifolds more than 3 inches so it's kind of useless. I could port match but bleh. Already have too much to do.

I still have to order a walbro/fluidyne/get injectors cleaned and flowed/pull na engine and tranny out/rewire the engine harness/install fcd/etc.......

and the engine is almost done so I have like a week and a half to get it all done if I want to drive asap.
